The name ISHO+RI carries meaning in every syllable — “Isho” from Ishwar (the divine), and “Ri” from Riwaaz (tradition) — together representing riwaaz, divinely reimagined. It’s a philosophy that runs through everything ISHORI creates: tradition worn with intention, never on autopilot.

That philosophy is rooted in a legacy that began in 1928, when Madhav Saree Sangam opened as a small shop in Kotputli, Rajasthan — with barely enough capital to stock goods. What the founders had instead was trust: they adjusted on interest and gave work to local artisans practicing bandhani, Rajasthan’s centuries-old tie-dye craft. That decision became the foundation of everything that followed, and over four generations, the name grew into one recognised across Kotputli, Jaipur, and Surat.

Today, Rakshit Bansal, the fifth generation of the family, carries this legacy forward as ISHORI — guided by his father Arvind Sharan Bansal and grandfather Maithli Sharan Bansal, whose decades of hands-on expertise shape every piece the brand offers. From bandhani sarees to curated ethnic wear, ISHORI is riwaaz reimagined for how India dresses today — divine in spirit, timeless in craft.
